Description | All described bugs can be observed in an attached wad - First of all - portals exhibit some funky behavior when one portal sector has the waterzone flag - reverb starts not at eye level, but as soon as the bottom of the player's hitbox touches the portal. Second of all, if you start drowning inside the lower sector, and bring your eye level above the portal, you will carry on drowning as if your eye level is still underwater. Finally, there is a visual quirk that appears on all portals, but can be very easily seen with a water sector - when you go into a portal, for 1 frame (I think) you can see your player sprite on the screen - this is very obvious when bobbing on water, since you are constantly exiting and entering the portal. | ||||
Steps To Reproduce | 1st issue - hold down fire on the pistol while out of water, and jump in - reverb starts before it should. 2nd issue - go into the water, and start drowning, bring eye level above water and you will keep drowning until you go through the portal. 3rd issue (OGL only) - go into the water and hold down space so you bob up and down, you should notice doomguy flashing on the screen every few frames. | ||||

Putting a water boundary on a portal is unsupported. This cannot be fixed with how the code works. | |
